Course Description

Join Aurora Goodland, woodblock printmaker and AAN’s Environmental Artist in Residence, to experience the unique technique of reduction woodcut printing. This relief printmaking process involves carving and printing the same block multiple times to create a layered image.

Attendees will experiment with nature-inspired textures as they carve and print a 6 x 8 inch woodblock by hand. On night one, we will carve and print the first layer and night two will be the second layer. Each attendee will take home 6 prints.

Printmaking experience is not required.

Cancellation Policy

AAN depends upon student tuition to continue to offer classes and workshops. Due to our commitment to small class sizes and the hands-on nature of art education, we are greatly impacted by cancellations. Nevertheless, we do understand that plans change. If you need to cancel your reservation for a class or workshop, please note our cancellation/refund policy here and let us know as soon as possible.
