Course Description

This is three-day printmaking workshop designed to explore themes of environmental connection and resilience through monotype printmaking. On the first day, students will spend time outside by the water and in tidal marshlands collecting data and drawing on site. The materials with then be brought to the studio where we will explore these ideas through print media.

Stencil monotype, and painterly additive and subtractive techniques will be used to create a series of works by each student that address the ideas explored through visual language and the poetic subtleties of print.
